We are seeking an individual with a strong interest in contemporary legal challenges: global supply chains, the role and responsibility of non-state actors in the globalized economy, cross-border dispute resolution and the protection of foreign investments, ESG and climate litigation, corporate sustainability and due diligence, and business and human rights.

On June 8, 2026, the CZDEMOS4AI project conference was held at the Hybernská Campus, focusing on the possibilities, limits and social impacts of responsible generative artificial intelligence. The program included a workshop part, in which the Institute of State and Law of the Czech Academy of Sciences organized a professional workshop "Between rule and autonomy: responsible AI in law".

Professor Monika Pauknerová, a long-time researcher at the Institute of State and Law of the Czech Academy of Sciences, has become an emeritus researcher at the institute. Professor Karel Eliáš received an honorary doctorate from Palacký University in Olomouc for his extraordinary scientific merit and creative contribution to the field of law and legal culture. The ceremony took place on March 5, 2026 in the Archbishop's Palace at an assembly of the academic community.
