Form of Fundamental Human Rights and Freedoms against the Background of Relativism

The article points at possible negative consequences of the intrusion of relativism into the existing concept of universal human rights and freedoms. It draws attention to the gradual disruption of the existing stability of natural rights and freedoms by ways of adopting new, critically unverified schools of thought, it also highlights the importance of the traditional concept of fundamental human rights with reference to the arguments which establish their validity. In this context, it refers to the need for deeper investigation of the issues involved and finding solutions which justify the perseverance of the protection, provided by law, of the main human values in view of their universality.
Czech original: Příspěvek ukazuje na možné negativní důsledky pronikání myšlenkového relativismu do stávající koncepce univerzálních lidských práv a svobod. Upozorňuje na postupné narušování dosavadní stability přirozených práv a svobod vlivem přejímání nového, kriticky neprověřeného myšlenkového směru a vyzdvihuje oproti tomu význam tradičního pojetí základních lidských práv s poukazem na argumenty, které zakládají jeho platnost. V tomto kontextu pak odkazuje na potřebu hlubšího zkoumání dané problematiky a nalezení východisek, která odůvodňují další trvání záruk poskytovaných právem ústředním lidským hodnotám v jejich univerzálním rozměru.
