Philanthropy: Role of lawyers and notaries in resolving family matters

We are pleased to invite you to a discussion evening devoted to:

Philanthropy: Role of Lawyers and Notaries in Resolving Family Affairs

taking place on 16 April 2018 at 17:00 in the main meeting room of the Institute of State and Law of the Czech Academy of Sciences at Národní 18, Praha 1.

The discussion will be managed by:

Claire Costello, Managing Director, Philanthropic Solutions Group, U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management

Claire Costello is an internationally recognized expert at philanthropy. Her reputation results from her involvement in numerous socially beneficial initiatives and from her extensive experience in supporting affluent clients and their families to fulfil her own philanthropic intentions.

She supports her clients in many activities related to the defining and the implementation of donor programmes, is responsible for fulfilling the donor strategy, and searches for examples of good practice for families and organizations devoted to philanthropy.

The discussion focuses on the role of professional advisors in the support of clients wanting to ascribe their property a ‘higher meaning’. It is devoted to the role of an advisor in setting the ‘culture’ of donation in family and to how personal experience in philanthropy may contribute to a client’s overall perception of the meaning of his property and how philanthropy benefits the strengthening of loyalty and other possible business opportunities for a professional advisor, notary or attorney-at-law.

This event is open to all legal profession representatives encountering philanthropy in their practice.

The debate will take place in English, without an interpreter.
