Videos and Podcasts

In this section, you will find videos produced directly by the Research Unit of Medical Law and Bioethics. These educational videos explain key legal concepts and real-life healthcare situations in a way that is accessible even to those without a legal background.

We also share media appearances of our team members when they participate in public debates or expert discussions featured in the media.

The aim of this section is to make legal topics more accessible to the wider public and to support expert dialogue beyond academic circles.

Patient Rights – Clearly Explained

Patient rights are one of the core pillars of health law—yet in practice, they are often misunderstood. That’s why we have created a series of short videos focusing on the most important topics from the patient’s perspective.

Each episode offers a clear and concise explanation of key issues, including:

  • What informed consent really means and how it should be properly documented
  • When and how substitute consent can be used
  • What advance directives are and how to approach them
  • What the standard of care is and why it matters—not only for providers, but also for patients
